This Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport is for someone who has a real passion for sport. There are 3 branches for you to choose from, depending on the vocational pathway that interests you:Sports Development and Coaching - You will study a vocational sport programme equating to either 2 or 3 A Levels, depending on your GCSE results, and gain additional qualifications in Sports Leadership and Coaching.Sports Performance and Excellence - Elite performers may choose this route and could qualify for a college scholarship. There will also be enough flexibility within your timetable to fit in with your training demandsSport and Exercise Science - If the analysis side of sport interests you, this route includes researching the psychological, biomechanical and physiological aspects, allowing you to specialise in the scientific characteristics that help improve sports performance.The Level 3 qualifications cover a wide range of opportunities for you to develop within your chosen sporting field. You will investigate the marketing approaches of sports businesses as well as having the opportunity to lead coaching sessions. You will investigate the working of the body and how it adapts to various training programmes.
