Archaeology AS and A Level

UPDATED 20150825 08:39:10

The AQA specification at AS Level begins with a study of archaeological techniques which will strengthen your archaeological knowledge. The second module is an in-depth study of religion and ritual in Prehistoric Europe, which allows you to start to think about remains archaeologically, rather than historically. At A Level, the emphasis shifts to a more theoretical base, building on existing knowledge and archaeological understanding with the exploration of major themes such as society, economics, settlement, identity and evolution.
