Paint in the style of van gogh

UPDATED 20150911 14:50:57

Vincent Van Gogh’s life was full of contrast and colour – like his art. He was a truly modern artist, ahead of his time, yet unrecognised during his life. He struggled with poverty and illness, but in spite of fragile health and loneliness his art continued to grow in output, intensity and beauty, finally recognised and loved. By the end of the course you can expect to be able to do the following;  Learn about van Gogh’s life and art.  Understand and use some of his mark making and texturing techniques.  Copy one of his portraits or landscapes in acrylic (to learn his way of painting).  Paint your own painting based on a photograph of a landscape.
