This course is for mothers and their children who are, or may be, dyslexic or dyspraxic. Find effective ways to support your child to maintain their confidence and achieve their full potential. Run by experts, this one week course is for mothers / carers to develop the knowledge and skills to support their children in school and with homework. The course focusses on children who are or who may be dyslexic or dyspraxic and therefore may learn differently and need to be supported to maintain their confidence and achieve their potential in school. On the course you will develop strategies to work with your child and to communicate with their school. You will learn about the new provision in schools for students with learning needs. You will be able to try out ways of working with your child in class if you are bringing a child between the ages of 5 and 11 years. If your child does not come with you, you will still be able to try out activities and take away a plan to help your child to study and cope with school more effectively.
