The aim of the Warehousing & Storage Qualifications is to contribute to the skills, knowledge and overall performance of the logistics industry’s workforce. It provides a full insight into the principles and processes of warehousing and will aid career progression whilst providing an up-to-date qualification that is in line with industry needs. The Warehousing & Storage Qualification will benefit your business by enabling learners to meet many objectives; listed below are just a few examples: • take responsibility for own health, safety and security in the workplace, and monitor the workplace for hazards • take action in the event of an incident, raising the alarm, following correct procedures for shut down and evacuation, using emergency equipment correctly and safely • place goods into storage in logistics operations in order to maximise space, improve distribution and reduce risks • prepare and process customer orders and know how to assemble orders for despatch • keep the workplace clean and tidy and maintain appropriate or required hygiene standards • understand the safe operation of both mobile and fixed equipment with the ability to identify the correct equipment for the task, ensuring it is safe to use and returning the equipment to the correct place after use • maintain, check and record stock levels • contribute to the provision of customer services in logistics operations • Deal with returned goods, check to identify condition and re-label if required. • Recruit, select and keep colleagues in logistics • Allocate and check work within your team • Manage the traffic office • Maintain safety and security of hazardous goods and materials To enquire about this course please see the contact details below.
