The course will explain what constitutes a decent quality, playable guitar and discuss the most effective ways of using the instrument. We will work towards having an overview of the mechanics of music, and being able to demonstrate an understanding of the diatonic system. This, along with the analysis of core skills and techniques, will be put to use in practical demonstrations at points during the course. We will work to develop all learners to the point where they can accompany other musicians on simple tunes and songs in addition to being able to perform one solo guitar piece within the above parameters.
