To tackle observational paintings and painting from photos, first exploring the subject by drawing with charcoal and pencil, then building up each painting in stages. The demos will be done using acrylic or oil working from dark to light. Students are welcome to work in their chosen media but watercolour users will need to be aware they will be building up their painting from light to dark.
