This course has been designed to: - Give you a framework for exploring aspects of Western Art and Architecture - Develop your interest in, and enjoyment of, the study of History of Art, fostering its value in lifelong learning - Enables you to appreciate some of the important topics of Art History, from Classical Greece to the end of the 20th Century. The course involves studying paintings, sculpture and architecture. This is an excellent subject for students who want to study a second or third Art subject at A Level, as it will help with your contextual studies especially in the practical subjects. The course works particularly well with photography as it develops your analytical skills which you can apply to all visual imagery.
