The fishing industry in West Cornwall is worth over 18 million to the regional economy with nearly 9,000 tonnes of fish landed annually in the port of Newlyn, according to the Cornwall Maritime Strategy. It s because of this economic impact that Falmouth Marine School has worked with numerous industry representatives to create a new foundation degree in Aquaculture and Fisheries Science.
