The course is for anyone with a Level 2 qualification in Horticulture or related subject, who wishes to further develop a range of skills, knowledge alongside practical application in a range of Horticultural settings. The bredth of subjects covered would be of interest to those interested in plant knowledge, Garden Design, Sustainable Horticulture, crop production, Organic food production and provides an opportunity to undertake an investigative project in an area of interest to the student. Ideal if: you would like to work in a supervisory role within the sustainable horticulture industry. You'll need: to have completed an apprenticeship or relevant level 2 qualification. You'll learn: about low-carbon, organic growing techniques, the principles of organic crop production, how to establish plant displays, identifying plants, and planning garden design and landscaping. Expect: your assignments and projects to be assessed throughout the course. You'll love: working on horticultural projects at the renowned Occombe Farm (Paignton), a low-carbon, organic, market garden. You'll go onto employment or university study such as our Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Horticulture. If you have previous Horticultural experience, and a good general knowledge of plant and soil science, along with a desire to further your knowledge and understanding this course would be of interest.
