Ideal if: you are interested in how businesses organise and run themselves and want to know more about the many career pathways that exist in business subjects. You'll need: three or more GCSEs at grade D or above, or the equivalent pass on a relevant level 1 course. You'll learn: about business related topics including; how to start a small business, how businesses manage their finances, marketing and selling goods and services, retail and online businesses, and the different job roles people have within a typical business. Expect: lots of variety when completing your assignments, meeting and visiting people from local businesses' and taking control of your own learning by running a small business for a year. You'll love: the practical, hands on tasks, the links with local businesses, the Start your Own Business activities, as well as the speakers and trips built into the course. You'll go onto: further study at level 3 or an apprenticeship in accounting, administration, law or business.
