A-Level Geography is a broad and yet engaging subject which develops an understanding of the processes that have shaped Planet Earth. From the global scale through to the local, Geography is an ever changing discipline tackling issues like climate change, coastal erosion, volcano management and population change. Whether you prefer the physical side or the human, A-Level Geography opens the door to university-level courses and beyond. A-Level Geography not only provides detailed subject knowledge, but also gives students key employability skills which both universities and businesses strive for. These include team working, presentation, research, analytical and self-management skills. Students are therefore able to make the transition to either university or work much easier after taking this course. Entry requirements - As with all A/AS-level subjects you must have at least five GCSEs at grade C or above, one of which should be English. In addition to this A Level Geography requires a B grade in either Geography, English Language or History. Students will benefit from a good understanding in Statistics as well.
