Furniture Making Apprenticeship Level 2

Ideal if: you want to train on the job and gian a nationally recognised qualification in furniture making. You'll need: to have good practical and hand skills, be able to follow technical drawings accurately and have good attention to detail. This course supports those working in a trainee furniture making position. You'll learn: the process behind the production of furniture, working with natural and manufactured materials. During this apprenticeship you wok on training puieces then progress to making a cabinet and side table. You will compile a competance portfolio to evidence your daily task, while receiving support from experienced Cornwall College tutors. Expect: to attend the workshop on campus for one day a week, with the remainder of the week spent in the workplace. During this time you will gain a wide variety of skills associated with the making of high quality hand crafted furniture. You'll love: acquiring the skills to produce beautiful pieces of furniture whilst working alongside other dedicated craftspeople.You'll go onto: employment, a higher level apprenticeship or further study at level 3.
