This Award in Health and Safety in a Construction Environment qualification is for learners wishing to apply for the Construction Skills Certification Scheme Green Card. The CSCS Green Card is intended for those working in labouring occupations only. From July 2014 CSCS is planning to introduce a new requirement for applicants to achieve a formal knowledge based qualification, the ‘Health and Safety in a Construction Environment’ Award. Achievement of this award will demonstrate the applicant’s understanding of key issues affecting safe working practices on UK construction sites.
