This course will enable you to identify and practise initial counselling skills and to understand the first steps in the theory of counselling. This award does not provide students with a professional qualification to practice as a counsellor. The courses at Ashley Down are taught during the evening (5.45 - 9.00) and the Soundwell course is in the morning (9.30 - 12.45)
