This workshop is aimed at learners who have some experience of using computers and wish to learn more about Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets. 10 am Induction to centre policies and procedures and completion of required paperwork, including setting of individual learning goals and outcomes. Overview of course. Introduction to Excel and understanding the layout of a spreadsheet. Use of Cell Referencing and basic formulae to complete mathematical calculations. Create a new spreadsheet to calculate a household budget using Cell referencing and formulae. Saving and printing a spreadsheet using page layout. Lunch break Retrieving the saved file, highlight key information and totals using formatting. Inserting columns, rows and more information into a spreadsheet. Overview of charts and graphs. Displaying information using charts and graphs. Checking information and printing. Review of learning, feedback and completion of course paperwork. 3.45 - Final questions and review.
