Our Music Performance course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of the contemporary working musician. With intensive vocational training, individual instrumental/vocal development classes and numerous performance opportunities drawing on a vast range of styles, the course is heavily weighted towards practical, experiential learning. The course fosters a comprehensive understanding of the music industry, and through professional development actively encourages students to find and undertake work as a musician and develop their career prospects. Our team of industry experienced and highly qualified staff will help you develop the versatility and professionalism required for a creative career in the music industry. Students attend master classes and workshops that draw on the College's excellent industry links. Over the past few years these have included the legendary jazz fusion drummer, Billy Cobham; Glastonbury Stage Manager, Steve Cheney; Artist Manager, Paul Crockford and acclaimed jazz musicians, Fred Baker and John Etheridge. In addition all second year students undertake an International research trip, where they draw inspiration for a final music project of their own design.
