History builds upon and develops the knowledge and skills that you will have gained through your GCSE History course. The options that we have chosen give students a taste of both modern and early modern history, which is especially useful to those students considering studying the subject at university, but also gives all students an excellent foundation into why Britain and the world is as it is today. Therefore, although many students do choose to study History at university, many other students find it an extremely useful preparation for courses in subjects like Politics, International Relations, Law, other humanities subjects, languages and even medicine and the sciences.
