UPDATED 20150814 10:29:07

If you're working within the electrical industry and have a level 3 technical certificate (2330) but have been unable to gain the work-based performance unit, this course is for you. There is a move nationally, for workers carrying out electrical installation work to have an NVQ qualification before being allowed access to building sites. This could seriously limit an individuals earning power in the future. This qualification involves formal assessment on site by a qualified assessor and the collection of naturally occurring evidence generated by an electrician performing his normal duties within the workplace. Some of the areas covered include: Structure of the construction industry, Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings, Site preparation for working in the construction industry, Electrical installation wiring and terminations, Fabrication techniques for electrical installation.
