If you are interested in the impact of media on society or want to explore modern media techniques then this course will be invaluable. The course covers all aspects of media from an investigation and analysis of media products such as television programs advertisements and newspapers to an understanding of how media institutions work. It also investigates debates about the effects of media on society. Practical coursework assignments allow you to demonstrate an understanding of the media by producing media products for specific audiences. Assessment is through coursework and formal examinations held in June.
