Parchment Craft

Term 1 Parchment Craft is the art of embellishing and decorating parchment paper. Learn the techniques of embossing perforating, stippling, cutting and colouring. You don’t need to be good at drawing or painting to achieve good results and the course is suitable for all levels of abilities. This term will cover the basic techniques of tracing, embossing, perforating and using the 4needle-perforating tool also how to cut crosses. Projects this term will be Christmas themed. You will need: Parchment paper (which can be purchased at the first lesson) a white gel pen and a ruler. A list of additional tools and equipment will be discussed at first lesson. Additional costs: YES - parchment tools, parchment scissors, watercolour pencils, felt tip pens. Progression: Term 2 Term 2 Continuing on from term one (new learners welcome) we will learn how to colour the parchment paper using mixed medium (watercolour pencils and felt tip pens) and the One Stroke Painting Technique projects will include season cards. You will need: Parchment paper (which can be purchased at the first lesson) a white gel pen and a ruler. A list of additional tools and equipment will be discussed at first lesson. Additional costs: YES - parchment tools, parchment scissors, watercolour pencils, felt tip pens. Progression: Term 3 Term 3 Continuing on from term two (new learners welcome) we will learn how to perforate and emboss using the PCA Pergamano straight and diagonal grids. Projects will include season cards. You will need - Parchment paper (which can be purchased at the first lesson) a white gel pen and a ruler. A list of additional tools and equipment will be discussed at first lesson. Additional costs: YES - parchment tools, parchment scissors, watercolour pencils, felt tip pens.
