This apprenticeship is for those who wish to work in the beauty industry. You will have the chance to gain the skills and qualifications required for working in the industry. It covers the practical skills you will need as a professional therapist such as waxing, manicures, pedicures, eyelash and eyebrow treatments, facials and make-up. You will be employed by a local beauty salon and training will take place both in the workplace and college. You will study: Ensuring responsibility for actions to reduce risks to health and safety - Promoting additional services or products to clients - Developing and maintaining your effectiveness at work - Providing facial skincare treatment - Enhancing the appearance of eyebrows and lashes - Carrying out waxing services - Providing manicure services - Providing pedicure services - Fulfilling salon reception duties - Providing makeup services and Employment Rights and Responsibilities and Personal Learning and Thinking Skills. You may also be required to take Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths as part of your Apprenticeship Framework. On successful completion you can progress onto a Level 3 beauty qualification, customer service or team leading qualification and gain promotion within the beauty Industry.
