This qualification has been designed around the needs of employers within the construction industry, in particular Painting and Decorating and provides a mix of both practical and theory-based teaching and learning in a realistic workshop and classroom environment. During the course you will develop and practice the skills required for employment and career progression as a Painter and Decorator through the study of units such as: principles of building construction information and communication, preparing surfaces for decoration, applying paint systems by brush and roller to complex areas, applying standard papers to walls and ceilings and producing specialist finishes for decorative work.
