Basic construction methods, seams and simple decorative processes 5. Use and maintenance of the sewing machine. Sewing machines are provided but please feel free to bring your own if you wish. You will need A4 Ring binder and 12 plastic sleeves A4 lined and plain paper, pen and pencil Information about patterns, fabric and sewing equipment will be given at the first session A pattern, calico and fabric for each garment plus sewing thread, buttons etc. Basic sewing equipment Fabric, paper and embroidery scissors, colour-headed pins, hand sewing needles, tape measure, tailors chalk, marking pen.
