You will be able to design and make your own project using specialist tools and equipment. You will be able to discuss new ideas with a professional jeweller. The course includes - designing of jewellery. - techniques of jewellery making. - use of specialist tools and equipment. - setting a cabochon gemstone - learning about the properties of silver - Texturing and hammering silver There is a charge included in the fee for the use of tools and materials and their replacement. In addition to this a GBP10 charge is made at the beginning of term to cover gas and other consumerable items such as saw blades. This should be given to the tutor at the first session in cash. You will need to buy your own silver. The tutor will discuss with you what you will need and how to do this at the first session.
