Drawing and watercolour - beginners

On this course you will gain an underpinning knowledge of drawing and construction methods, painting techniques both experimental and traditional, colour theory and observational skills. You will cover - Still life painting. - Construction drawing. - Tonal drawing. - Bold expressive landscape. - Georgia O'Keeffe inspired flowers. - Snow scene. For the course you will need A drawing pad or cartridge pad. Graphite pencils HB, 2B, 4B a pencil rubber, a box of willow charcoal. A watercolour pad at least A4 size and 140lb or 300 grams weight. Two watercolour brushes one big and one small a no.4 and a no.10 brush, a palette (a white plate will do) and a jam jar for water. The first session we will be drawing so please just bring pencils and paper. We will discuss materials properly in the first session and learners may wish to buy their watercolours after this point.
