On this course you will learn The basic rules of using guidelines to help position things correctly. Crosshatching technique to give an impression of shadow and depth in tonal drawing. Basic rules of perspective. Colour theory. Creating the three-dimensional image of the still-life in pencil (pen and ink or gouache) by using different tonal patterns and knowledge about main rules of perspective. To discover a wide range of drawing and painting techniques with a view to applying them in your own creative project. For the first session please bring A2 (594 x 420mm) sheet of 220-300gsm cartridge drawing paper B, 2B and 3B drawing pencils Erasers The tutor will discuss with you the additional materials you will need to buy but please wait until the first session.
