This course is a preparation for entry to a degree or Higher Diploma course in health care including Nursing, Midwifery, Paramedics, Operations Dept Practitioner, Occupational Therapy and other related health care professions. Four modules are studied, these are: -Human Biology -Psychology -Sociology -Health Studies In addition a research project will be undertaken chosen from one of the subject areas. Credits are awarded for the Access course modules. To achieve the Access Diploma, you must gain all 60 credits, including a minimum of 45 credits at Level 3. There are 20 units worth 3 credits each; 6 units of Biology, 4 of Psychology, 3 of Health Studies, 3 Sociology and 4 development units. 15 units are graded, while 5 must be passed but are not graded. The Access to HE Diploma is awarded by Openawards.org.
