This level 3 qualification is intended for individuals whose role involves the supervision of administrators or administrative processes, requiring some autonomy and decision making within their job role. Delivered in the workplace using a blend of distance learning resources and assessor support, the course requires the completion of 4 mandatory units and a choice of optional units from a number of different Business Admin themes such as project management, document production, communication, events & meetings, customer service, managing information and data, business resources and innovation & change. There is also a choice of units for those involved in specialist administration areas such as Human resources, Education and Parking. A further group of units provides the option of choosing Health and Safety or a range of IT units. A minimum of 40 credits must be achieved, with the mandatory units providing 13 and a further 27 from the optional units. Some Level 2 and Level 4 units may be included in the mix to best match individual job roles, but at least 14 of the optional unit credits must be achieved at Level 3.
