This course is ideal for those holding the full AAT Level 2 Certificate and working, or intending to work, as accounting technicians/support staff in accountancy and related finance functions. The Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is part of a three-stage, competence based Education and Training Scheme offered by The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), the largest dedicated professional body for qualified accounting technicians. The three stages consist of units of competence which are accredited by the new Qualifications and Credit Framework. (QCF). The Level 3 Diploma attracts 41 credits. About the course - The course is divided into six units: 1. Accounts preparation I - principles of accounts preparation, extending the trial balance, end of year adjustments and accounting for fixed assets. 2. Accounts preparation II - preparing the final accounts for partnerships and sole traders. 3. Costs & Revenues - principles of providing cost and revenue information. 4. Indirect tax - principles of VAT and preparing the VAT return. 5. Professional ethics. 6. Spreadsheet software.
