E638 - The Award in Warehousing and Storage is for people who would like to work in a warehousing and storage facility within the logistics sector. This provision is open to customers aged 19 & over who are in receipt of a state benefit and are looking for employment. The course will give the learner knowledge and understanding of the warehousing and logistics environment and will also accredit learners with Manual Handling and Health & Safety certificates. The qualification will provide a pre-employment training route over three days for those who wish to work in this sector. The course requires the completion of the following units: Health & Safety Manual Handling Successful candidates can progress onto the Level 1 Certificate in Warehousing and Distribution. This qualification allows the learner to gain employment in the Warehousing and Logistics industry. Further study at Level 1 could lead to an Apprenticeship if the learner gains employment.
