If you would like to learn something new, have fun, exercise your brain and meet people to enjoy a new hobby with, then come and join a Bridge course at Peter Symonds Adult Education. If you would like to learn something new, have fun, exercise your brain and meet people to enjoy a new hobby with, then come and join a Bridge course at Peter Symonds Adult Education. Starting in the autumn term are courses for the complete beginner or players who would like a complete refresher and to consolidate the basics of bidding and play. This is a year-long course (split into 3 terms). If you wish to join a course after it has started, please speak to the tutor Cathy Wallis on 07881814568 to discuss your level of experience. To have fun, exercise your brain and meet people to enjoy a new hobby with. This course is designed to run for 3 terms. 4 players with 13 cards each... We learn how to assess the value of the cards, how to communicate with your partner during the bidding phase (in which you decide how many tricks you hope to make) and then how to play the cards to make the required number of tricks.

Entry requirements

Pen, notebook/folder. There will be handouts, but when a student joins the course they will also need to purchase the Course Notes from the tutor for 9.00 which is not included in the course fee.
