This workshop is for anyone who wishes to learn the basics of the art of floristry, with a view to attending a further floristry course to start up a floristry business or to gain more experience as a florist. This one day workshop is for complete beginners and those with some experience of floristry. The workshop will cover these designs and you may complete some or all of the designs on the day: Button hole, Corsage traditional or contemporary, Wrist corsage, Hand tied aqua pack bouquet, Gift arrangements. For anyone who wishes to learn the art of floristry with a view to starting up a floristry business or to gain more experience as a florist. To gain the knowledge and understand the elements and principles of design and their relevance to creating floral designs. - Recognise different species of plant materials used in flower arranging- Demonstrate when to use each plant and flower form for traditional free style, continental and contemporary styles- Demonstrate how to apply the elements and principles of design to each floral arrangement- Use the technique of conditioning- Knowledge of wiring and taping materials for use in specific advanced designs
