The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF) is a preparation for workqualification that has been designed to prepare you for a career as a complementary therapist,Whether it is as an aromatherapist, reflexologist or massage therapist/practitioner. The VTCT Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies (QCF) aims to provide progression opportunities to specialist complementary therapy qualifications at Level 4.Alternatively, you may wish to seek employment or self-employment as a:- - Complementary therapist- - Aromatherapist- - Reflexologist- Massage therapist/practitioner This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding of the principles and practiceand business practice for complementary therapies. Furthermore, you will learn about anatomy, physiology and pathology for complementary therapies.You will also develop your understanding and practical skills to provide body massage, aromatherapy and reflexology. You may also choose to complete an additional unit which will develop your knowledge and understanding of healthy eating and wellbeing for the complementary therapy client.To achieve this qualification you must carry out and document evidence of the following casestudies:UV31300 - Provide body massage for complementary therapies: You must carry out and document evidence for at least 30 treatments.UV31301 - Provide aromatherapy for complementary therapies: You must carry out and document evidence for at least 60 treatments.UV31302 - Provide reflexology for complementary therapies: You must carry out and document evidence for at least 100 treatments.

The practical and written work is also internally verified by other members of staff as a quality check and then an external verifier from the Awarding Body comes in twice per year to check our systems and procedures. There are continual practical assessments, written assessment questions, internal and x2 external written exams for anatomy and physiology , case studies, and a portfolio of evidence for your practical treatments. Entry requirements

You will need a college approved uniform, course text book and the usual stationary of pens, paper and essential are two A4 folders.
