This course is for the therapist with a level 2 qualification in Beauty Therapy who wishes to develop their basic beauty skills into more advanced techniques and treatments, making them very employable in salons, health spas, cruise liners and skin clinics This course is for the therapist with Level 2 qualifications in Beauty Therapy who wishes to develop their basic beauty skills into more advanced techniques and treatments, making them very employable in salons, health spas, cruise liners and skin clinics. The aim of the course is to make you competent and confident in the advanced skills that salons require and this will make you very employable. Not only will you learn the practical skills of each unit you will gain experience in client care and how to be within health and safety guidelines expected by the Industry regulations. You will be working on fee paying clients very quickly to gain good communication skills, outstanding client care and customer service and the experience of dealing with all variations of clients' needs, in a professional manner. . The course involves learning the effects on the face and body of electrical and mechanical treatments, how the machines work, how to perform a full body massage, along with using mechanical massage or infra-red lamp and their effects. One important commercial unit is how to remove hair through Epilation techniques. All treatments must be carried out in a safe and effective manner to suit client needs and suitability. There may also be some commercial certificates offered such as microdermabrasion, self tanning and other in-demand favourites.

The practical and written work is also internally verified by other members of staff as a quality check and then an external verifier from the Awarding Body comes in twice per year to check our systems and procedures. There are continual practical assessments, written assessment questions, internal and external written exams, case studies, and a portfolio of evidence for your practical treatments.
