The aim of the course is to make you competent and confident in the advanced skills that salons require and this will make you very employable. Not only will you learn the practical skills of each unit you will gain experience in client care and how to be within health and safety guidelines expected by the Industry regulations. You will be working on fee paying clients very quickly to gain good communication skills, outstanding client care and customer service and the experience of dealing with all variations of clients' needs, in a professional manner. . The course involves learning the effects on the face and body of electrical and mechanical treatments, how the machines work, how to perform a full body massage, along with using mechanical massage or infra-red lamp and their effects. One important commercial unit is how to remove hair through Epilation techniques. All treatments must be carried out in a safe and effective manner to suit client needs and suitability. There may also be some commercial certificates offered such as microdermabrasion, self tanning and other in-demand favourites.
