Please go to www.citylit.ac.uk/applying-diploma-practitioner-counselling-level-4 for full details on applying. The Diploma starting in 2016 will take place on Tuesdays, with occasional weekend dates. This two-year course qualifies you to practise as a counsellor. You will need to have completed a level 3 certificate in counselling skills course within the last three years. Applications close in May for each September start. Dates shown in this course guide refer only to the current academic year. if you are aged 24 or over at the start of the course you can apply for a government loan to help cover the costs. The course cost is £3999 which you can finance with a mix of loan and upfront fees, with a minimum upfront fee of £1199 payable. Or if you are on certain benefits the course cost is £3399 and a minimum upfront fee of £599. If aged under 24 then you'll pay the full or conc fee listed below depending on your circumstances. If you think you will experience difficulties paying the upfront fee, you can talk to our IAG team who will advise you on instalment plans and bursaries.
