Level and Exam Board AQA AS and A-level Why choose Psychology? Psychology is useful for a wide range of people-orientated occupations as well as industry or business organisations. There are many avenues of academic and career progression which students of Psychology could choose to follow: Criminology, Teaching, Child Psychology, Occupational therapy, Nursing and Forensic Psychology to name a few. What does the course involve? Psychology is the study of human behaviour and mental processes. Students will study the theories of great psychologists and learn to understand the various approaches and methods used and examine behaviours, thoughts and feelings from a variety of different psychological approaches. Approximately 10% of the examinations assess mathematical skill and at least 25% of each paper will consist of Research Methods.
