A course for learners who have an interest in the history of art and art appreciation. Learn about the history of art and how it has played a part in shaping the world we live in. The course will allow learners to discuss different artists spanning the ages from Warrior Cults through to the contemporary art of today, how art is perceived in different contexts and develop skills to evaluate art critically. The Renaissance, Cult Art, Christian, Egyptian, Impressionist, Surrealist and more will be covered in this course. Learners will discuss a range of images including artwork chosen by learners. This course is ideal for beginners and those wishing to learn more about art and art appreciation.
