BEGINNERS: You will learn how to use your sewing machine safely and successfully. Tutor will provide patterns and calico to make a simple garment using the following skills: Laying out & cutting out a pattern, darts, inserting a zip, fitting sleeves, facings. IMPROVERS: You will build on your skills learnt in the first course and make a garment of your choosing from a fabric you like. You will also learn further skills from the pattern you have chosen and this could be: bias binding, gathers, linings, invisible zips, waistbands, collars, cuffs.
