Literature

UPDATED 20150805 17:12:18

This is an eleven week course which aims to trace the impact of classical Roman and Greek civilisations on the litereature, art culture and thinking of the Renaissance and more recently. Classical thinking, myths and legends as well as how the human body and beauty are portrayed are all part of our culture and have found their way into key literary texts. This course will help students explore and enjoy the literary and artistic connections. The books we will read are a mixture of poetry and prose including one play.
