Art History: The Art of Portraiture

The development and changing role of European portraiture from classical times to the 21st century will be explored. Role-play, symbolism and likeness will be discussed in works by artists such as Titian, Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Reynolds, David, Van Gogh and Klimt.
