Art History: The Newlyn and St Ives Schools

We will be looking at the ideas and ideals behind the inception of both the Newlyn and St. Ives Schools in Cornwall that will cover the time period of the late 19th Century through to the middle to late 20th Century. An introduction to the artists who painted in and around Newlyn, including Langley, Lamorna Birch, Laura and Harold knight and Alfred Munnings and the artists of the later St. Ives School, Ben Nicholson, Christopher Woods and Barbara Hepworth.
