Term 1 Whitefield - 7 Indoor classes plus 3 field trips Prestwich - this is an evening class and as a result there are no outdoor classes in Terms 1 and 2 Identification of closely related species Bird movements and migration Bird behaviour Birds in their habitats Birds, weather and climate change Birds in history and culture Term 2 - 9 weeks Topics as Term 1 but with emphasis on species which will be present in this country at this time Bird identification by songs and calls Term 3 - 8 weeks All classes are outdoors / field trips Visits to different bird locations to identify birds in a variety of habitats so we can put into practice what we have discussed in the classroom in previous terms. .
