Art: A Taste of Acrylic and Watercolour

Course Description: This course aims to provide an opportunity to explore the media of Acrylics and Watercolour for those new to painting and those more experienced, developing skills and confidence at all levels. What will I learn? You will - Investigate and experiment with painting materials developing your personal choices of palette, supports, brushes and tools. Explore techniques specific to acrylic and watercolour eg glazing, washes, resists, sgrafitto. Develop observational skills using still life in the classroom. Produce personal paintings using a variety of references from still life and landscapes subjects. Investigate some of the formal elements of art - line, colour, form. Build your own portfolio of work. Evaluate artwork.
