Course Description: Would you love to make your own clothes but don't have a clue where to start? Have you tried to make clothes but find it difficult to follow patterns? Then join our Sew Easy Beginners class with people like you ready to sew. With professional guidance you will soon be making clothes you have created that fit. Enjoy exchanging ideas and learning new skill in a friendly supportive workshop. What will I learn? 1. Knowledge of health and safety in the sewing room and use of tools and equipment. 2. How to choose pattern and fabric according to ability. 3. How to use the sewing machine and a range of sewing techniques appropriate for garment construction including hand stitching. 4. To produce a well fitting garment from a commercial pattern. 5. To evaluate your work in terms of your own progress.
