Level and Exam Board AQA AS English Language B Why choose English Language? English Language is a subject which is exceptionally well received by universities and employers alike. Good performance at A level provides a very sound base for a surprising number of degrees and professions and helps to develop analytical as well as creative skills. What does the course involve? Throughout the first year of studies, students learn to look at language and texts through different concepts and ideas such as power, gender, dialect and occupation. Analysing how language can change through different social prisms is a key factor to AS Level language.
