Upholstery & Soft Furnishing

Learners will choose a project and using correct techniques will complete a finished piece of Upholstery or Soft Furnishing to a high standard. For example: Curtains, blinds, headboards, loose covers, bedspreads, all types of chairs covered, traditional and modern upholstery techniques used.

Entry requirements

A basic sewing kit is required for Soft Furnishing projects, including scissors, needles and pins, tape measure and threads.Upholstery tools: the tutor will have tools for learners to borrow on the first lesson.Advice will be given as to what specific tools the learners may need to purchase to complete their individual projects.Materials and resources you will need through the course will be discussed at induction.
