Sewing Basics - Beginners

This is a chance to try your hand at sewing and learn about the basic skills needed to put together fabric. We will cover the first stages of textile construction, how to sew by machine and hand.Fabric structure and usesIntroduction to sewing tools and equipmentProduction of samples showing - seam construction, zip insertion, buttons and buttonholes, gathering, shaping cloth and a selection of hand stitchesImprovement of sewing machine skills At the end of this course you will have a large selection of samples, showing construction methodologies to act as aids in future sewing projects
