Painting Flowers in the Style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh

This one day course will establish some pencil drawing and watercolour painting methods through practical demonstrations and printed examples of Charles Rennie Mackintosh's flower paintings.You will be shown the colour mixing techniques and the overlaid washes that he used.Learners will gain confidence in using watercolour materials and reviewing their work through group discussion and one to one support.The overall aim is to achieve personal expression and work in a range of techniques and methods as used by Charles Rennie Mackintosh This could act as an extension to other painting courses attended or as a one off taster.

Entry requirements

Please bring HB and 2B pencils, a sharpener and a plastic eraser. Also whatever watercolour materials you may already have purchased. These should include a basic set of colours, watercolour paper, a range of brushes, and palette. Also a sketchbook and ruler. If you want to draw and paint your favourite flower in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh then you are welcome to bring it with you.
