Kindle Fire is a user - friendly device offering features most people want from a tablet in an ultra - portable package. You can learn to use it for:1) E - mail2) Web browsing/shopping3) Playing music and videos4) Downloading from an online content store and5) Accessing Android apps.Kindle Fire is also an e - reader for e - books, and enables document reading in Word, PDF, RTF, and HTML format files, it offers Silk web browser, and a Gallery where you can view and make basic edits (rotate and crop) to photos, and e - mail client (you can set up Kindle Fire to access your existing e - mail accounts).

Entry requirements

If possible, it would be best if you can bring along a Kindle Fire (or Kindle Fire HD). If you are unable to do so, then it will still be possible to follow the whole - class on - screen demonstrations, but it will not be possible to set up a Kindle with your own e - mail account for example. While some handouts will be provided, it would be very helpful to bring a paper notebook and pen to also make your own notes. As this is a one - day course, no other items will be required later.
